The Antipoverty Initiative, is a county-wide program started by the Mourning Family Foundation with a mission to eradicate poverty in Miami-Dade County. Through a comprehensive organizational structure and multifaceted tactics, the Antipoverty Initiative will raise the funds necessary to win the battle against poverty. The Antipoverty Initiative will identify partner organizations who are best equipped to carry out the mission. It is important to note that the Antipoverty Initiative is not seeking to duplicate services that currently exist in the community, rather to compliment those who are in the trenches by supporting their work to improve the lives of impoverished families in Miami Dade County.
