HONEY SHINE, INC. FOUNDER AND CEO TRACY WILSON MOURNING ANNOUNCES NEW VP OF OPERATIONS AND BOARD MEMBERS

Dr. Wendy Ellis, formally of WNBA’s Chicago Sky, brings 15 years of experience to Honey Shine, Inc. MIAMI, FL March 12,2018– After an intense and extensive search, Honey Shine, Inc. founder and CEO Tracy Wilson Mourning selected Dr. Wendy Ellis as Vice President of Operations and Executive Director. Dr. Ellis comes with more than 15 years of non-profit development and fundraising experience. “This is an exciting time for Honey Shine and our honey bugs who we work tirelessly to ensure they achieve their highest potential for bright futures. We are delighted to have Dr. Ellis lead Honey Shine with continued expansion in our community and beyond,” said Founder and CEO, Tracy Wilson Mourning. Prior to moving to Florida 2½ years ago from Chicago, Dr. Ellis served as Executive Director for the South Side YMCA on the South Side of Chicago, Assistant Director of Marketing in Athletics & Recreation at Northwestern University, Account Manager for (WNBA) Chicago Sky. She is the former Sponsorship and Business Manager for Miami Gardens, Office of Public Affairs and Parks and Recreation Department. As Honey Shine’s Vice president of Operations and Executive Director, Dr. Ellis will oversee programs, operations, marketing, business development, and membership engagement. She is a graduate of Loras College and University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and holds a Doctorate of Education from Olivet Nazarene University. “I’ve been preparing my entire career to be at Honey Shine. I consider it an opportunity of a lifetime to be part of the Honey Shine family. I come from humble beginnings, and I know with certainty that if I didn’t have mentors and coaches who believed in me and encouraged me as a young girl and teenager growing up, I surely would not be where I am today.” states Dr. Ellis.

Honey Shine, Inc. also announced three newly appointed members to its Board of Director: City of Miramar Assistant City Manager Natasha Hampton, Henderson Financial Vice President, Lynda Harris; and, Compass Broker Associate & Founding Agent, Mercedes Saewitz. Returning Board members Matthew Beatty, Lydia Desnoyer, Marie McKenzie, Rebecca Ocariz, and Board Chair, Sabrina Gallo all expressed excitement for Honey Shine’s direction under its new leadership.
